Dear Parishioners,

We would like to publicly thank Seminarian Christopher for the time and energy he has given to Sacred Heart School this past year.  We have loved his morning visits to assembly and many visits to our classrooms.  He is truly a “gentle-man” and we have enjoyed his prayers, short speeches and singing with us!  We wish him the very best in his future endeavors, and will pray for him and hope he will someday return to us!

Blessings and Love,

Sacred Heart Students and Staff

I am thankful for all of you who took the time to fill out the survey, and for your honest opinions of our Parish.

FROM THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: “With the Marian Prayer Program, we honor the martyrs over the centuries as we call particular attention to the suffering of today’s Christians in the  Middle East. Featuring the newly commissioned icon of Our Lady Help of Persecuted Christians, the prayer program is the latest in a series of efforts undertaken by the Knights of Columbus to aid those who suffer for their faith. Since its inception in 2014 the Christian Refugee Relief Fund has raised and distributed close to $20 million to help feed and clothe needy families in the Middle  East and to resettle and rebuild villages destroyed by ISIS. Pope Francis has called these efforts “an eloquent sign of (the Knights of Columbus’) firm commitment to solidarity and communion with (their) fellow Christians.”  […]

Dear Parishioners and Visitors,
Easter Sunday is a day of faith, joy and rejoicing. The resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of our faith and the most extraordinary happening in human history. All our hopes and happiness come from what happened on that first Easter morning. The joy of the apostles on Easter Day is meant to be our own joy, too. Easter is about the joy of rebirth in the spirit of God. It is all about the newness of life in Christ and the risen life of Christ is ours for the taking. Today’s feast provides us with a fresh opportunity of facing the issue of our own resurrection. It presents us with the  challenge of spreading the light, love and life of the Risen Christ. Easter has no spiritual significance for us if Christ emptied his tomb and we still lie in darkness and in our own death. Let the joy of the resurrection rise and lift us from despair and loneliness to the strength and beauty of the life Christ has given us. For the resurrection gives our life meaning, direction and the opportunity to start all over again no matter what we have been through in the past.
A blessed and a Happy Easter to all.

Queridos Feligreses,

GOD’S ACTIONS NOW

When Jews celebrate the Passover, they always tell the story of the Exodus in present terms, as if they themselves experienced those events: when we were prisoners in Egypt; when God brought us out of slavery and through the waters of the sea. We would do well to follow their example and see the works of Jesus and his sacrifice as being in the present, as happening to us now. We believe that Christ’s work, his teachings, and his sacrifice on the cross were not just for his followers in the past, but for all people at all times. When we think of this in our prayers, we become one in faith with that great cloud of witnesses, the saints.  […]

2019 ANNUAL MINISTRY APPEAL – “Bridges of Hope – Go in Peace to Love and Serve the Lord

We thank everyone who has taken the time to reflect on the gifts God has given them and made a decision to support our AMA appeal. 251 of our 2,080 registered families have pledged $59,768.24 toward our Diocesan goal of $34,400.00.
