Parish Fund Raisers (i.e.: International Festival)
A group of parishioners who help raise funds for the parish through means other than the weekly collection.

Parish Office Volunteers
A group of parishioners whose duties include: greeting and providing hospitality to people coming to the office, preparing parish mailings, running the bulletin, typing certificates, entering baptisms in the parish register, etc.

Parish Outreach Volunteers
Assist the parish office staff with filling out “in-take” forms and providing assistance to the poor and disadvantaged in our community. Hours: 3-5 pm Monday through Friday.

Pastoral Council & Finance Office
Every three years the pastor gathers all interested people to discern members who can assist in the pastoral planning and financial management of the parish.

Stewardship Committee
Their mission is … to help the Sacred Heart Parish Family draw closer to God and to each other through a deepening practice of joyful stewardship by: helping all of us discover our gifts of time, talent and treasure; and increasing everyone’s gratitude to God, the giver of these gifts; encouraging the giving of a portion of these gifts to God’s glory.

Catholic Principles of Stewardship: Everything we have and are comes form God. God asks us to show gratitude by stewardship --- the grateful giving back of our time, talent and treasure. Our model is Jesus, the steward of all creation, who expressed his love and found his joy by emptying himself. In a culture that stresses consuming, pleasure-seeking and individualism … stewardship will only happen through conscious and prayerful choice. Grasping, exploitation and self-centeredness bring anxiety. Stewardship brings joy, since it is a way of companionship with Jesus and others.
