Called to share in our Master’s Joy…
From the very beginning of creation, God has manifested his love, care and concern towards His creation, especially to mankind. God has given man the faculties to become an efficient steward of his creation. God has entrusted to each individual sets of talents and capacities that would help him live life to the fullest and bear fruits for the glory of God. This Sunday’s gospel, Jesus once again, is reminding us of those gifts being entrusted to the care of each of us. Jesus is exhorting all baptized Christians or his followers to use the God-given gifts in the service of God, and to take risks for the sake of the Kingdom of God. These gifts have been seen to include personal abilities or talents, as well as personal wealth. Thus, failure to use one’s gifts, as the parable suggests, will result in judgment.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven” (CCC
1030). This state of purification is what we call Purgatory. …

All Souls/All Saints: Who Are They?

Presenter: Fr. Paul OFM

Sinners and Saints, are we talking about ourselves? We will reflect on who God calls us to be in our lives. How does God look upon those who are his beloved children? How does God look upon us? How do we look upon the sinners and saints in our lives?
