(Please note that there are no Friday 6 PM confessions at Sacred Heart, since Fr. Luis Fernando and I will be over at Madonna del Sasso. These will be the last scheduled confession times before Easter.) [...] April 3, 2011This weekend we’ll hear about a parish fund-raiser called Lenten Liquidation. The brain-child of parishioner John Cailotto (very savvy about living in this computer age), it’s a drive to convert usable large items gathering dust in your garage (computers, refrigerators, TV’s, etc.) into cash to help the parish pay down some of our Cislini Youth Center debt. I hope you’ll listen carefully to this intriguing idea which could do Sacred Heart a world of good. We began Lent by instituting daily adoration from the end of 7AM Mass till 9:30 AM (except Thursday, when adoration continues until 12:15 PM Mass).
